Hartmann Named 2025 CSCAA Scholar All-America First Team; Coughlin-Doyle Second Team

LEWISBURG, Pa. — Wheaton College (Mass.) women's swimming & diving team members Reese Hartmann (Grand Rapids, Mich.) was named to the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America First Team, while Morgen Coughlin-Doyle (Topsham, Maine) was tabbed a Second Team selection for the 2024-25 season, it was announced by the CSCAA.

To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections, must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a "B" time standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet.

Hartmann earns Scholar All-America status for the third time after earning First Team honors as a first year and was a Second Teamer as a sophomore. The East Grand Rapids High School product placed 48th in the 50-yard freestyle at this year's NCAA Division III Championship in Greensboro, N.C. from March 19-22, before finishing 23rd in the 100-yard backstroke. The senior also placed 30th in the 200-yard backstroke for the Lyons.

Coughlin-Doyle qualified for the NCAA Regional on both diving boards early in the season for the Lyons. The senior becomes the first diver in school history to earn Scholar All-America accolades multiple times after being tabbed to the Second Team last year. The Mt. Ararat High School product was unable to compete at the NCAA Division III Regional in Springfield, Mass.   

Wheaton finished the dual-meet season with a 7-4 record, before placing third as a team at the NEWMAC Championship. The Lyons also qualified to compete at the NCAA Championship.
