WESTWOOD, Mass. -- Wheaton College (Mass.) men's tennis players Gabriel Fellows (Middletown, R.I.). Eli Hanlon (Branford, Conn.) and Ethan Na (Simsbury, Conn.) were named to the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Academic All-Conference team, it was announced by the league.
Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2022 fall semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
Fellows is a Business and Management major, who joined the Lyons tennis squad for his final academic year after being a member of the Wheaton soccer team for four seasons. The Cushing Academy (Mass.) product won at both singles (number six) and doubles (number three) play on April 13 against University of Massachusetts Boston to close out his career.
Hanlon is named to the Academic All-Conference team for the second straight year. The junior Biology major won four singles matches, seeing action from third to fifth singles, during the spring season to go with five doubles triumphs.
Na finished his career with a 6-6 mark at number two singles during the spring campaign, in addition to four victories in doubles action. The senior Mathematics and Secondary Education major earns the All-Academic nod for the third straight year.
Wheaton finished the season with a 5-10 overall record, including 1-5 in NEWMAC play.
