MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – Wheaton College (Mass.) baseball players, Jeremy Aylward (Hingham, Mass.), Chris Carbonara (Brockton, Mass.), Aiden Cardoza (Dartmouth, Mass.), Blake Kamoen (Killingworth, Conn.), Declan Lush (Seekonk, Mass.), Jack Ritchie (Raynham, Mass.) and Ray Toth (Granby, Mass.) were named to the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference Baseball Academic All-Conference team, it was announced by the league.
Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2025 fall semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
For the second consecutive year, the total of seven Lyons honored matches the program record. Toth earns a spot on the team for the third straight year, while Carbonara is a repeat selection.
Toth ranked third on the team with a .423 on-base percentage and started 35 of 37 games at third base. The senior Business and Management major also tied for the team lead with 10 doubles. Carbonara was outstanding in six appearances for Wheaton. The senior Physics major posted a 1-0 record behind a stellar 1.80 earned run average, while holding opponents to a measly .174 (4-23) batting mark. Cardoza was the top starting pitcher for the Lyons and earned Second Team All-Conference accolades. The junior Business major ranked ninth in the nation with just 1.07 walks per nine innings pitched.
Aylward overcame an injury to open the season, but still managed to start nine of 17 games that he appeared in. The sophomore Psychology major was a perfect 8-8 in stolen base attempts for the season. Kamoen made six appearances out of the bullpen for Wheaton. The sophomore Finance Pre-law major recorded a save and allowed just two extra base hits to 31 batters that he faced. Lush started 17 of 20 games in right field and batted an even .300 (21-70) for the season. The sophomore Environmental Science major scored 17 times and collected five extra-base hits, including a pair of home runs. Ritchie appeared in eight games, including six starting assignments for the Lyons. The sophomore Business and Management and Psychology major ranked second on the staff with 30 1/3 innings pitched, while striking out 29 batters against a remarkable one walk allowed.
Wheaton finished the season with an overall record of 26-13, including 10-6 in league play to earn the number two seed in the NEWMAC Championship Tournament. The Lyons did not lose consecutive games all season until the final two contests in the conference tournament.
