MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – The Wheaton College (Mass.) women's track & field team placed 13 members on the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Academic All-Conference team, it was announced by the league.
Anella Bolster (Marcellus, N.Y.), Maggie Cizmar (Plymouth, Mass.), Camille Connors (Woburn, Mass.), Jessie Dickson (Southbury, Conn.), Maezy Gleason (Scarborough, Maine), Lauren Hinckley (Niantic, Conn.), Niyati Hotha (South Brunswick, N.J.), Christina Lang (Coventry, R.I.), Abby Martin (Keene, N.H.), Annie Reagan (Scarborough, Maine), Annabelle Sanders (Miami, Fla.), Maya Thomas (Goffstown, N.H.) and Chloe Vescio (Douglas, Mass.) were all named to the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team.
Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2025 fall semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
Wheaton has now boasted 11 or more honorees in each of the last eight years.
Martin has been named Academic All-Conference three straight years, while Bolster, Connors, Dickson, Hinckley, Lang, Sanders and Thomas are all repeat selections.
Martin competed primarily in the 800 meters for the Lyons. The senior Neuroscience major posted a personal-best time of 2:34.64 in the event to place 19th at the Sean Collier Invitational and also finished 22nd at the NEWMAC Championship. Bolster is a junior, who primarily competed in the long jump for Wheaton. The Neuroscience major finished fourth at the NEWMAC Championship in the event on April 24-25 in New London, Conn. and finished fifth or better in five different meets. Connors was a key cog in the Lyons' national championship-caliber 4X100-meter relay. The junior Early Child Education major's primary individual event was the 200 meters, where she finished 11th at the NEWMAC Championship and placed among the top 15 in three meets. Dickson competed in three meets for Wheaton during the outdoor season. The junior Biochemistry major turned in a season-high finish of ninth in the 400 meters at the Collier Invitational and placed 13th in the 400 at the NEWMAC Championship. Hinckley competed during her junior campaign, primarily in the triple jump for the Lyons. The junior International Relations major recorded three top-10 showings in the event, including a ninth-place effort at the NEWMAC Championship. Lang was a member of Wheaton's outdoor squad, but was unable to compete due to injury. The junior Biochemistry major was a long jumper during the Lyons' indoor circuit. Sanders registered a personal-record time in the 1500 meters and ran primarily in the 800 meters for Wheaton. The junior Chemistry major finished 25th in the event at the NEWMAC Championship. Thomas is a junior, who competed primarily in the 200 meters and was a member of the Lyons' 4X400-meter relay. The Biochemistry major helped Wheaton finish fourth in the 4X400 relay at the NEWMAC Championship.
Cizmar competed in four meets for the Lyons and competed primarily in the 1500 meters. The sophomore Psychology major closed out her season by placing 14th in the event at the NEWMAC Championship. Gleason was limited to just two meets during the outdoor season, due to injury. The sophomore Psychology major finished 16th in the discus at the NEWMAC Championship. Hotha competed in three meets for Wheaton. The sophomore Chemistry and Neuroscience major registered a personal-record time in the 5000 meters and closed out her season with a 29th-place effort in the 1500 meters at the NEWMAC Championship. Reagan competed primarily in the shot put and the discus throw for the Lyons. The junior Business Management major began the season by placing fourth in the shot put and fifth in the discus at the Jerry Gravel Classic in Westfield, Mass. on April 11, before finishing ninth in the shot put at the NEWMAC Championship to end the season. Vescio enjoyed a full season that saw her post three personal-record times. The sophomore Elementary Education and English major placed fourth in the 10,000 meters at the NEWMAC Championship posted the second-fastest time in the event in the school history at the Farley Inter Regional Extravaganza in Williamstown, Mass. on May 8-9 to finish her campaign.
The Lyons finished 35th as a team at the NCAA Outdoor Championship and was sixth at the NEWMAC Championship.
