Women's Track and Field

Connors, Loriston, Wickenheisser and Wooden Named to USTFCCCA All-America First Team

NEW ORLEANS, La. — Wheaton College (Mass.) women's outdoor track & field members, seniors Michaina Loriston (Boston, Mass.), Kate Wickenheisser (Oxford, Conn.), Wendy Wooden (Sharon, Mass.) and junior Camille Connors (Woburn, Mass.) were named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-America First Team, it was announced by the USTFCCCA.

Athletes of member institutions who finished in the top-8 of their respective individual events and as part of a relay team at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships earned First-Team All-America honors. Those who finished ninth through 16th individually and ninth through 12th as part of a relay team were named Second-Team All-America.

Loriston earned First Team All-America honors in two different events to become the first Lyon to do so since Ashante Little '14, Meredith Scannell '14 and Amber Spencer '14 in 2014. Loriston earns First Team All-America status for the third time in her career after earning First Team accolades as part of Wheaton's 4X100-meter relay team in 2024 as well. The Boston Prep product was a Second Team selection in the 100 meters last year to make her a four-time All-American for Wheaton. She is the first four-time outdoor All-America honoree since Scannell was tabbed for the fourth time in 2014 and Little was tapped for All-America status for the 10th time in 2014.

Loriston ran the race of her life, shattering the school record in the 100 meters by nearly a full second to finish third at the NCAA Division III Championship with a time of 11.64 on May 23 in La Crosse, Wis.

Loriston was also part of the Lyons' 4X100-meter relay that placed eighth at the NCAA Championship meet. Wooden was the lead leg in the race for Wheaton, before handing off to Loriston. Connors took the baton for the third 100 meters, before Wickenheisser closed out the race to combine on a time of 46.77.

The Lyon quartet earned All-Region honors a few weeks ago as well and received First Team All-Conference accolades from the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference.

Leading up to the NCAA Championship, Loriston dominated the 100 meters with four first place showings during the outdoor season. Her time of 11.82 set a conference record at the NEWMAC Championship on April 25 in New London, Conn. at host United States Coast Guard Academy.

Connors, Loriston, Wickenheisser and Wooden ran the 4X100-meter relay for Wheaton for the entire season. The quartet posted a season-best time of 46.57 to finish fifth in the preliminaries of the NCAA Championship to propel the Lyons to the finals of the event. Wheaton captured the title at the Emory Dooley Elite Meet in Atlanta, Ga. on April 4 with the third-fastest time in the region. The relay squad won the NEWMAC Championship and finished first a total of three times during the season in addition to a third-place finish.

The Lyons finished 35th as a team at the NCAA Outdoor Championship and was sixth at the NEWMAC Championship.
