STANFORD, Calif. — Wheaton College (Mass.) artistic swimmers Renée Goldfinger (Hoboken, N.J.), Olivia Macdonald (Toronto, Ont.) and first year Ava Salamone (Norristown, Pa.) were named to the USA Artistic Swimming Division III All-Collegiate Team, it was announced by USA Artistic Swimming.
The Lyons count of three honorees marks the first time since 2010-14 that Wheaton has had three All-Collegiate swimmers in three straight seasons.
Goldfinger and Macdonald have both earned All-Collegiate status in each of the last three years, while Salamone is named for the first time. The trio also earned All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Second Team accolades earlier in the season.
The honor recognizes the top-performing collegiate athletes across both varsity divisions and club programs. These honorees have demonstrated excellence in competition, consistency throughout the season, and a commitment to elevating their teams. Separated by division and club, this list highlights the depth of talent and the diverse pathways contributing to the strength of collegiate artistic swimming.
Goldfinger placed sixth in the open solo event at the US Collegiate Championship, hosted by Stanford University on March 28-29 in Stanford, Calif. She tallied 172.0925 points. The junior also racked up 67.1846 points to place 20th in the A Figures. The Economics and Mathematics major won the A Figures at the East Regional Championship with a season-high 73.5339 points on February 28 in Norton in addition to earning the duet title with Salamone with a score of 172.3596 points. The pair combined for a season-best mark of 192.0296 points to win the duet at the Wheaton Invitational on February 22 in Norton as well. The former Imagine Synchro club member also finished fourth in the open solo at the MPSF Championship on February 14-15 at Stanford.
Macdonald was Wheaton's top performer at the US Collegiate Championship with a fourth-place showing on a total of 196.0588 points, while finishing 13th with 72.2837 points in A Figures. The senior captured the solo crown at both the East Regional Championship and the Wheaton Invitational and was the runner-up in the solo at the MPSF Championship. In addition, the Public Health major placed seventh in the A Figures at the Championship meet. Macdonald registered a season-high of 73.1010 points to win the A Figures at the New England Synchronized Swimming Association Figures competition to open the season on November 18.
Salamone topped the field at the US Collegiate Championship with fellow first year Eldar Blazh (Weston, Mass.) in the mixed duet with a score of 147.4583 points. The rookie registered 76.8197 points to place seventh for the Lyons in the B Figures. The Biochemistry major claimed both the B Figures and mixed duet titles at the East Regional Championship. She turned in a season-high total of 76.9558 points in the B Figures and her tally of 155.2058 points with Blazh was a season-high as well. The Freedom Valley Synchro product also finished fifth in the B Figures at the MPSF Championship and won the category at the NESSA competition.
The trio were part of Wheaton's team score of 1135.4487 to finish 10th in the category at the US Collegiate Championship.
The Lyons placed third at the MPSF Championship as a team for their highest finish ever and also placed fifth at the US Collegiate Championship. Wheaton won the East Regional title for the 11th straight year.
