STANFORD, Calif. — First year Autumn Vang (Stillwater, Minn.) won the D Technical Figures title, senior Olivia Macdonald (Toronto, Ont.) placed fourth in the Women's Free Solo and first year Eldar Blazh (Weston, Mass.) won a pair of crowns to lead the Wheaton College (Mass.) artistic swimming team on Day One of the 2026 US Collegiate Championships hosted by Stanford University's Avery Aquatic Center in Stanford, Calif.
Vang tallied a top score of 56.8622 points. First year Gabrielle Bausemer (Plainville, Mass.) finished third in the category with 53.1111 points for the Lyons.
Macdonald racked up 196.0588 points to tie for fourth in the free solo for Wheaton. University of the Incarnate Word sophomore Marloes Steenbeek (Zaandam, Netherlands) successfully defended her title in the event with a score of 236.4675 points. Junior Renée Goldfinger (Hoboken, N.J.) finished sixth for the Lyons with 172.0925 points.
Blazh won the men's free solo crown with a score of 160.191 points. He also combined with classmate Ava Salamone (Norristown, Pa.) to earn the mixed duet title as well.
The Ohio State University senior Ruby Remati (Andover, Mass.) won the A Figures with a tally of 84.6860 points. Macdonald scored 72.2837 points to place 13th, while Goldfinger finished 20th with a count of 67.1846 points for the Lyons. Blazh placed 28th with a tally of 34.5565 points.
Texas Woman's University first year Nadia Crits (Ayr, Ont.) claimed the top score in the B Figures with a 76.8197 showing. Salamone placed seventh in the category for Wheaton with a score of 68.1769 points.
Sophomore Jerusalem Temple (Sacramento, Calif.) turned in the top score for the C Figures with a mark of 65.3301. Four Lyons were among the top 16 in the category, led by sophomore Julie Mahoney (Andover, Mass.) with 62.3397 points to finish third. Sophomore Sierra Bausemer (Plainville, Mass.) placed eighth with 57.1058 points and junior Scout Lowrie (Franklin, N.J.) was 13th with a tally of 55.5545 points. First year El Parks (Tacoma, Wash.) scored 55.1186 points to finish 16th for Wheaton.
Wheaton returns to the pool for Day Two to compete in the Trio Free Final, the Team Free Final.
