MEDFORD, Mass. — The Wheaton College (Mass.) men's track & field team competed at the Tufts Spring Invitational hosted at Tufts University's Dussault Track & Field complex within the Frederick M. Ellis Oval in Medford, Mass.
The Lyons posted three personal-best efforts during the day.
First year Eli Pinney (Brockton, Mass.) turned in a personal-record mark of 12.26 meters to place 12th in the triple jump for Wheaton.
Senior Nick Lacroix (Bedford, N.H.) finished 10th to lead the Lyons in the 3000-meter steeple chase with a time of 9:53.60.
Wheaton saw five runners compete in the 1500 meters, led by senior Kai Hillier's (Hinesburg, Vt.) time of 4:04.45 to place 19th. First year Nolan Bushnell (Rochester, Mass.) clocked in at 4:10.70 to finish 27th, while sophomore Dan McIntyre (Keene, N.H.) posted a personal-record mark of 4:11.87 to place 30th. First year Will Doyle (Milton, Mass.) was 42nd with a personal-best time of 4:32.39 and first year Kayden Chhoun (Wilbraham, Mass.) recorded a time of 4:35.60 to finish 44th.
The Lyons return to Tufts tomorrow to compete on day two of the Spring Invitational, while the team's throwers will compete at the Jerry Gravel Classic in Westfield, Mass.
