MEDFORD, Mass. – Sophomore Gavin Landry (Sebago, Maine) placed third in the 60-meter hurdles and also posted the second-fastest time in the event in school history to lead the Wheaton College (Mass.) men's track & field team at the Tufts Final Qualifier at Gantcher Family Sports and Convocation Center in Medford, Mass.
Landry recorded a time of 8.27 to finish third in the race, but his preliminary time of 8.24 was the second-fastest in program history for the Lyons.
Wheaton senior Kai Hillier (Hinesburg, Vt.) placed fifth in the mile, but bettered his own personal-best mark with a time of 4:14.71 for the second-fastest in school annals.
Sophomore Aidan Greenleaf (Topsham, Maine) turned in a time of 51.52 to finish fifth in the 400 meters for the Lyons.
Wheaton will await to see if any of its men's team members will qualify in the upcoming NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 13-14 at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Ala.
