BOSTON, Mass. — Senior Michaina Loriston (Boston, Mass.) placed 23rd overall and sixth among Division III runners in the 200 meters to lead the Wheaton College (Mass.) women's track & field team today at the John Thomas Terrier Classic at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center in Boston, Mass.
Loriston posted a time of 25.47 in the race.
Junior Camille Connors (Woburn, Mass.) turned in a personal-record time of 27.03 in the 200 meters to place 118th overall and 83rd among NCAA Division III runners for the Lyons.
Wheaton recorded a pair of outstanding efforts in the 5000 meters, led by senior Jaz Vanderhoof (Portland, Maine), who placed 71st overall and 10th among DIII runners with a time of 18:18.15, while sophomore Chloe Vescio (Douglas, Mass.) was 80th overall and 13th against Division III competition with a mark of 18:40.11.
Senior Kristen DiBella (Boston, Mass.) placed 18th among Division III runners and 104th overall in the 800 meters with a personal-best time of 2:23.43 for the Lyons. Sophomore Abby Wozniak (Blackstone, Mass.) registered a personal-record time of 5:32.66 to finish 38th in the mile against Division III runners and 167th against the entire field.
Wheaton's 4X400-meter relay of senior Kate Wickenheisser (Oxford, Conn.), junior Jessie Dickson (Southbury, Conn.), first year Adeline Takantjas (Belmont, N.H.) and junior Maya Thomas (Goffstown, N.H.) combined for a season-best time of 4:05.49 to place 20th overall and sixth against Division III competition.
The Lyons return to compete tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. at the Harvard Invitational in Cambridge, Mass.
