NORTON, Mass. – Wheaton College (Mass.) artistic swimmers Renée Goldfinger (Hoboken, N.J.) and Olivia Macdonald (Toronto, Ont.) were both named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation First Team, while senior Hannah Halberg (New York City, N.Y) was a Second Team selection, it was announced by the league.
The three selections mark the most All-MPSF nods in school history.
Macdonald was named a Second Team honoree last year.
The sophomore Public Health major tallied 41 championship points for the sixth-highest total at the two-day MPSF Championship meet hosted by Wheaton at Balfour Natatorium in Norton, Mass. The Canadian placed sixth in the solo for the Lyons, while combining with Goldfinger to register a season-high score of 139.3313 in the duet to finish seventh. Macdonald placed sixth with a score of 58.3475 in the Collegiate "A" Technicals as well and contributed to Wheaton's season-best count of 150.9075 in the Team competition for a sixth-place showing at the MPSF championship.
Macdonald's top score in the solo this season came on February 2, 2025, when she racked up 127.2800 points to place third at the Jessica Beck Invitational, hosted by The Ohio State University.
Goldfinger tallied 71.9320 points to place fifth in the Collegiate "B" technicals which contributed to 24 championship points awarded to her for the meet. The sophomore Economics major also competed in the Team competition with Macdonald.
Halberg earns Second Team honors in her final year of competition with 21 championship points. The senior finished eighth in the Collegiate "B" technical competition with 66.4524 points. A Business and Management major, Halberg joined classmate Marina Greenwood (Santa Cruz, Calif.) and first year Paige Warda (Auburn, Calif.) to compile a score of 102.8925 for an eighth-place effort in the trio. She was also a part of the Team competition with Macdonald, Goldfinger, Greenwood, Warda, junior Josephine Basco (Painesville, Ohio), first year Sierra Bausemer (Plainville, Mass.) and first year Julie Mahoney (Andover, Mass.).
Halberg, Greenwood and Warda established their best trio tally with a score of 123.2200 at the Jessica Beck Invitational.
Wheaton returns to the pool on Saturday, March 1 when it hosts the East Regional Championship at 11:00 a.m.
