MARLBOROUGH, Mass. — A school-record total of 12 Wheaton College (Mass.) field hockey players were named to the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference squad, including Ava Audette (Essex, Vt.), Rebecca Berman (Avon, Conn.), Aubrey Collier (Yarmouth, Maine), Hannah Fortin (South Dartmouth, Mass.), Maddie Hatch (Gorham, Maine), Maddie LaBreck (Rollinsford, N.H.), Elise LeBlanc (Hampstead, N.H.), Riley Levrault (Lakeville, Mass.), Abby Miller (Andover, Mass.), Ally Slicer (Waterford, Maine), Kelsey Thompson (North Attleboro, Mass.) and Kayla Wilonski (Wallingford, Conn.), it was announced by the league.
Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2025 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
The Lyons total of honorees matches the program-high from last year. Wheaton field hockey has boasted nine or more honorees in each of the last three years.
Berman, Hatch, Levrault and Miller were all honored for the third straight year, while Fortin, LaBreck and Slicer were named for the second consecutive year. Audette, Collier, LeBlanc, Thompson and Wilonski earned Academic All-Conference status in their respective first years of eligibility.
Berman is a senior Business and Management major. The defender started all 18 matches in the backfield for the Lyons and attempted seven shots. Hatch is a senior Biology major. The defender received the starting nod in all 18 contests and recorded a pair of defensive saves. Levrault is a senior Biology major. The forward led the team with five assists to rank 19th in the NEWMAC, while adding four goals for 13 points to rank third on the team. Miller is a senior Biochemistry major. The defender was tabbed Second Team All-Conference and was among the nation's leaders with eight defensive stops to place 16th. Fortin is a junior Psychology major. The forward enjoyed a breakout season and tallied seven goals to rank 19th in the league and added two assists to give her 16 points to stand second for Wheaton. LaBreck is a junior Elementary Education major. The defender started all 18 matches and picked up a pair of defensive saves on the season. Slicer is a junior Psychology major. The forward started every match and collected five points on two goals and an assist. Audette is a sophomore Nursing major. The forward started five of 14 games and recorded her first collegiate hat trick on September 6 vs. Nichols College to give her three goals and an assist for seven points on the season. Collier is a sophomore Psychology major. The defender missed all of last season with an injury, but returned and saw time in four games for the Lyons. LeBlanc is a sophomore Nursing major. The keeper made three appearances in goal, while making a pair of starts. Thompson is a sophomore Elementary Education major. The midfielder missed nearly the entire first month of the season due to injury, but managed to come back and start nine of 10 games that she appeared in, while notching two assists. Wilonski is a sophomore Biochemistry major. The midfielder was among the best offensive players in the conference, ranking ninth in the NEWMAC with 10 goals to go with three assists to give her 23 points for 1.28 points per game to place eighth in the conference.
Wheaton finished the season with an overall record of 8-10, including 3-6 in league play.
