COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Wheaton College field hockey team posted a 3.66 fall semester grade point average to earn the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Collegiate National Academic Team Award, it was announced by the NFHCA.
The Lyons have earned the honor in each of the last nine seasons and in 13 of the previous 14 campaigns.
The National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that achieved a minimum team grade point average of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2025-26 academic year.
Wheaton saw 15 field hockey players named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad as well, while six members of the squad earned NFHCA Scholars of Distinction honors for compiling a cumulative 3.90 GPA or higher. Lyons' field hockey boasted 15 student-athletes with a 3.5 or higher cume GPA, including six student-athletes with a perfect 4.0 for the fall semester.
Wheaton finished the season with an overall record of 8-10, including 3-6 in league play.
