WESTWOOD, Mass. — Wheaton College (Mass.) women's cross country runners Marguerite Bartlett (Centerbrook, Conn.), Annabelle Sanders (Miami, Fla.) and Natalie Sicard (Nottingham, N.H.) were named to the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference squad, it was announced by the league.
Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2024 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
Bartlett is named Academic All-Conference for the second time after her selection following the 2022 campaign. Sanders and Sicard both earn the honor in their first respective years of eligibility.
Bartlett achieved personal-record times throughout the season for the Lyons. The senior Neuroscience major placed 102nd at the NEWMAC Championship on November 2 with a time of 27:00.5 in the six-kilometer race. She capped the year by posting a personal-record mark of 26:36.8 to finish 149th at the NCAA Division III East Regional Championship in Hopkinton, N.H. on November 16.
Sanders registered personal-best times in the 5K, 6K and two-mile races. A sophomore Chemistry major, she turned in a personal-record 6K time of 29:06.5 to place 219th at the Connecticut College Invitational on October 19 and finished 119th at the NEWMAC title race. She opened the season with her highest finish of the campaign, placing 71st at the two-mile 10th Annual Wheaton & Babson Season-Opener on August 31.
Sicard finished 93rd at the NEWMAC Championship in her first collegiate cross country season after competing solely for the Wheaton track & field program last year. The sophomore Design major recorded her best 6K time of the season at the Connecticut College Invitational with a mark of 26:27.1 to finish 164th on October 19. She placed 93rd at the NEWMAC Championship on November 2 with a time of 26:46.7.
The Lyons placed 12th as a team at the NEWMAC Championship and turned in an 18th-place effort at the NCAA III East Regional title meet.
