BOSTON, Mass. -- Sophomore Jordan Pinnix (Manchester, Conn.) finished seventh in the 60-meter hurdles at the finals of the NCAA Division III New England Championship to lead the Wheaton College (Mass.) men's track & field team today at The TRACK at New Balance in Boston, Mass.
The Lyons finished 25th as a team in the meet with two points, while Massachusetts Institute of Technology placed first with a score of 159.
Pinnix bettered his time from last night's preliminary by two-one hundredths of a second and posted a mark of 8.59 for Wheaton.
Sophomore John Dowgiert (Methuen, Mass.) finished 13th in the 200 meters with a time of 22.39 for the Lyons, while senior Anthony Almas (Marstons Mills, Mass.) registered a mark of 22.76 to finish 22nd.
First year Kai Hillier (Hinesburg, Vt.) turned in a personal-record time of 4:22.03 in the mile to place 25th for Wheaton.
The Lyons will be in action again on Saturday, March 4 when they compete at the National Qualifying Meet hosted by Tufts University in Medford, Mass. at 11:30 a.m.
