THE RUNDOWN:
- The Wheaton College men's lacrosse team was led by Alec Morin who found the back of the net five times. Alex Berg recorded four goals, while Lou Mainella and Troy Sliney each had two goals. Mike Abramo and Mike Goodwin each contributed one goal apiece in the Lyons victory.
- Mainella picked up a game-high three assists on the day while Abramo led the Lyons with six ground balls.
- Johnson and Wales University (RI) was led by Michael Celentano who netted five goals, while Tyler Drago, Andrew Vasile, and Mike Catuosco all contributed one in the Wildcats loss.
- The Lyons jumped ahead in the first half scoring five goals to make the score 5-2. The Johnson and Wales Wildcats fought back in the second quarter with a goal at 12:37 and another at 9:55 to cut the Lyons lead down to just one goal but it wouldn't be enough to stop the Lyons in the end as they were able to find the back of the net eight more times throughout the game to come up with the 16 to 8 victory against the Wildcats.
- Chandler Miller picked up the win in net for the Lyons, coming up with 14 saves after seeing 21 shots. Neal Canastra also saw some action in net making one save after seeing two shots.
