THE RUNDOWN:
- The Wheaton College men's tennis team returned to New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action Saturday, falling to the Coast Guard 8-1.
- Wheaton's lone point came from doubles with Ian Tracy and Javier Esteban de Celis who earned a hard-fought 8-7 win from the No. 1 spot. The Lyons other two teams battled the Bears for each point, ultimately falling 8-7 to their foes.
- Jeremiah Ryser nearly earned a singles point for Wheaton. The senior fell 6-0 in the opening set before winning the second 7-5. In the deciding set, it was the Coast Guard who came out on top with a 10-7 victory.
