NORTON, Mass. - The Wheaton College men's tennis team competed against the Beavers of Babson College Wednesday evening in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) match hosted at Beard Field House where the Beavers defeated the Lyons, 6-3.

This was the final match of the regular season for the Lyons where senior Alden Zeff and first-year Jorge Aguirre Martinez earned a 7-5(5) victory at No. 1 while first-year Diego Garcia Anton and first-year Ned Roosevelt claimed an 8-6 victory at No. 3. 

In singles, Aguirre Martinez would tally the final win of the night for Wheaton at No. 2 when he secured a 6-3, 6-3 final mark.

The Lyons advance to the NEWMAC Tournament on Saturday for the Quarterfinals round as the No. 5 seed. Wheaton will travel to No. 4 seed Springfield College for a 1 p.m. match.
