Men's Tennis Falls 6-3 to Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Wheaton College men's tennis team fell 6-3 on the road to Springfield College in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) contest. 

Wheaton took a 2-1 lead into singles. Alden Zeff and Jorge Aguirre Martinez picked up an 8-4 win in No. 1 doubles, which was followed by a win from Nick Hotary and Diego Garcia Anton (8-5) in the No. 3 position. 

The Pride settled into a groove, taking five of the six points in singles action. Aguirre Martinez picked up Wheaton's only win in singles, coming from behind in the first set (2-6), winning the final two sets each 6-3. 

Wheaton returns to the court on Saturday, April 22 at Amherst for a 9 a.m. contest.
