SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — First year David Kadiri (Dracut, Mass.) placed second in the 200 meters to lead the Wheaton College (Mass.) men's track & field team on the final day of the New England Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship at host Springfield College's Blake Track in Springfield, Mass.
Kadiri turned in a time of 22.21 to finish as the runner-up in the 200 meters for the Lyons.
First year Josy Brown Wright (Sharon, Mass.) posted the fifth-fastest time in school history to place third in the 400 meters for Wheaton at 48.66, while sophomore Aidan Greenleaf (Topsham, Maine) finished ninth in the 400 meters with a personal-record time of 49.73.
Sophomore Gavin Landry (Sebago, Maine) finished fourth in the 110-meter hurdles with a mark of 14.74 for the Lyons.
Wheaton senior Nick Lacroix (Bedford, N.H.) registered the second-fastest mark in program history with a time of 9:42.59 to finish seventh in the 3000-meter steeple chase and classmate Kai Hillier (Hinesburg, Vt.) placed seventh in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:02.44.
Hillier, sophomore Dan McIntyre (Keene, N.H.) and first years Kayden Chhoun (Wilbraham, Mass.) and Jack Kittredge (Broad Brook, Conn.) combined to post the fourth-fastest time in school annals at 8:18.00 to finish 12th in the 4X800-meter relay.
Wheaton returns to the track on Friday, May 8 for the two-day Farley Inter Regional Extravaganza hosted by Williams College in Williamstown, Mass.
