SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Sophomore Gavin Landry (Sebago, Maine) placed fifth in the preliminaries of the 110-meter hurdles to lead the Wheaton College (Mass.) men's track & field team today and qualify for tomorrow's finals at the New England Division III Outdoor Championships at Blake Track on the campus of Springfield College in Springfield, Mass.

Landry's time is the third-fastest in program history for the Lyons.

Junior Kevin Smith (Norfolk, Mass.) placed 17th in the race with a time of 15.68, while sophomore Joshua Wright (Gorham, Maine) was 19th with a mark of 15.82.

Wheaton returns tomorrow for the final day of the championship meet in Springfield.
