Men's Soccer Receives USC Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Wheaton College (Mass.) men's soccer team earned the United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award for the 2024-25 academic year it was announced by the USC. 

The award, initiated in the 1997-98 academic year, honors men's soccer teams that maintain a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher for the recently completed academic year.

The Lyons earned an impressive team GPA of 3.51 for the 2024-25 academic year and boasted 20 student-athletes with a 3.5 or better GPA. The Lyons earn the accolade for the third straight year from the USC and their GPA ranks them among the top 24.7% in NCAA Division III.

Wheaton posted a 6-5-7 record for the season, including 1-2-5 in NEWMAC play. The Lyons received votes in the United Soccer Coaches national poll four times this season and were ranked as high as 21st in the nation, while playing the 37th-toughest schedule in NCAA Division III.
