Men's Cross Country Places School-Record Seven on NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. — A school-record total of seven Wheaton College (Mass.) men's cross country runners were named to the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference squad, including Parker Fullem (Wantage, N.J.), Kai Hillier (Hinesburg, Vt.), Nick Lacroix (Bedford, N.H.), Lucas MacKenzie (Saint Albans, Vt.), Dan McIntyre, (Keene, N.H.), Finn Morris (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) and Nathan Pires (Yarmouth, Maine), it was announced by the league. 

Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2025 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

The Lyons nearly doubled the previous program-high of four set in 2023 and matched last year. 

Fullem, Hillier and Lacroix all receive the honor for the third straight year, while MacKenzie repeats from last season. McIntyre, Morris and Pires were all selected in their first respective years of eligibility. 

Fullem is a senior Biology major. The High Point Regional High School graduate finished 66th at the NEWMAC Championship on November 1 and posted a personal-record time of 28:01.5 in an eight-kilometer race at the Connecticut College Invitational on October 18. Hillier is a senior Business and Management major. The Champlain Valley Union High School product battled injury for most of the season, but still managed to place 25th at the NCAA Regional Championship on November 8 with a time of 25:22.6 to qualify for All-Region status and was 20th at the NEWMAC Championship. Lacroix is a senior Mathematics major. A graduate of Bedford High School, Lacroix established personal-bests throughout the season and finished 34th at the NEWMAC Championship, before placing 74th at the NCAA Regional. MacKenzie is a senior Political Science major. The graduate of Bellows Free Academy placed 93rd at the NEWMAC Championship after posting a personal-best time of 29.37.7 at the Connecticut College Invitational. 

McIntyre is a sophomore Psychology major. The Keene High School product turned in a personal-record time of 27:48.6 at the NCAA Regional Championship. Morris is a sophomore Finance major. The Cape Elizabeth High School graduate registered a personal-record time of 28:05.2 at the NCAA Regional Championship after taking 61st place at the NEWMAC Championship. Pires is a sophomore Economics major. A graduate of Yarmouth High School, he placed 76th at the NEWMAC Championship in addition to posting a personal-record time in the 4.97 meter Keene State College Invitational on October 4. 

Wheaton placed sixth as a team at the NEWMAC Championship and was 16th at the NCAA Regional Championship.
