KEENE, N.H. – The Wheaton College (Mass.) men's cross country team placed 21st at the Keene State Invitational this afternoon at the Owl Athletic Complex in Keene, N.H.
The Lyons totaled 598 points to finish 21st in the eight-kilometer "Red" race. Williams College won the team title with a tally of 55 points. Massachusetts Institute of Technology sophomore Dylan Fiegener (Corvallis, Ore.) cross the finish first with a time of 24:45.4
Wheaton sophomore Jack Kittredge (Broad Brook, Conn.) led the Blue and White placed 91st with a personal-record time of 27:22.4 to top his previous best by 18 seconds. Classmate Nolan Bushnell (Rochester, Mass.) clocked in at 28:07.7 to place 139th overall, while junior Finn Morris (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) was a couple steps behind at 28:09.9 to finish 142nd.
First year David Aulisio (East Greenwich, R.I.) finished 197th with a mark of 29:19.0 and first year Benjamin Oliveira (Taunton, Mass.) posted a personal-record time of 29:38 for the Lyons to finish 212th and round out the scoring. First year Luke Parr (Portland, Maine) also registered a personal-best time of 30:00.1 to place 223rd.
Junior Dan McIntyre (Keene, N.H.) competed in the six-kilometer white race and finished third for Wheaton with a time of 20:53.7. Sophomore Thomas Sargent (Bow, N.H.) was 24th in the race with a time of 25:06.7.
The Lyons return to action on Saturday, October 17 when they travel to Waterford, Conn. to compete at the Connecticut College Invite at 10:00 a.m.
