NORTON. Mass. — Senior Talia Dalton (Andover, Minn.) tallied 37 points to lead the Wheaton College (Mass.) women's swimming team on Day One of the Chris Fisher Invitational at Balfour Natatorium on the Wheaton campus in Norton, Mass.

Roger Williams University leads the meet with 426 points through eight events, while Babson College is second with 378 points. The Lyons sit third with 319 points, ahead of Eastern Connecticut State University's total of 200. Saint Joseph's College (Maine) is in fifth place with three points.

Babson won five events, including both relays, while Wheaton captured three individual events.

Dalton placed first in the 200-yard individual medley with a season-best time of 2:14.28, before adding a second-place effort in the 200-yard backstroke with a season-best mark of 2:11.72. Classmate Emma Claire Lambert-Shemo (Cleveland, Ohio) wasn't far behind with 35 points for the night for the Lyons. She won the 100-yard breaststroke with a clip of 1:09.26 in addition to a fourth-place showing in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:17;13. 

First year Margeaux Anselmi (Pearl River, N.Y.) racked up 28 points for Wheaton, highlighted by touching second in the 500-yard freestyle behind a big season-best time of 5:23.51. She also finished eighth in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:14.44. First year Lauren Bullins (Lenexa, Kan.) also made waves for the Lyon rookies with a third-place mark of 5:27.40 in the 500-yard freestyle. Junior Anna St. Jean (Alexandria, Va.) matched Bullins with 23 points, thanks to a seventh-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:37.24 and a mark of 56.32 to place eighth in the 100-yard freestyle. Senior Garin Stone (Barrington, R.I.) shined in her only individual event, winning the 100-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 52.38. Junior Kaleigh Morton (Milford, Conn.) contributed with 17 points after finishing second in the 200-yard butterfly behind a season-best mark of 2:16.17.

Wheaton finished second in both relays as well. Stone, Lambert-Shemo, Bullins and St. Jean combined to post a time of 1:39.30 in the 200-yard freestyle relay to open the meet. Dalton led off the 400-yard medley relay with the backstroke, before yielding to Lambert-Shemo's breaststroke, Stone's butterfly leg and the last 100 freestyle yards from St. Jean to touch with a time of 4:05.27. 

Babson won the opening relay behind sophomore Samantha Gilbert (Arlington, Va.), senior Sophia Sznewajs (Edina, Minn.), junior Sylvie Racicot (Arlington, Mass.) and sophomore Julia Netishen (Exeter, N.H.) with a time of 1:37.81. Gilbert also came out on top in the 500-yard freestyle with a mark of 5:16.39, while sophomore Tuana Turhan (Lake Forest, Ill.) swam the fastest in the 200-yard butterfly with a clip of 2:06.72. First year Becky Hwang (Needham, Mass.) touched first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 2:10.90 to close out the Beavers' top individual times. Babson closed out the night with a win in the 400-yard medley relay. Netishen swam the opening backstroke, ahead of Gilbert in the breaststroke. Turhan followed in the butterfly, before Racicot's anchor leg to produce a time of 4:00.04.

The teams return for tomorrow's 10:00 a.m. preliminaries at Balfour Natatorium.
