INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Senior Garin Stone (Barrington, R.I.) placed 32nd in the 200-yard freestyle in the morning preliminaries to lead the Wheaton College (Mass.) women's swimming & diving team today at the NCAA Division III Championship hosted by Indiana University Indianapolis at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind.
Stone placed eighth in the fifth heat of the morning with a time of 1:52.66 to finish tied for 32nd overall.
The top 16 swimmers will advance to this evening's finals.
Stone's swim marked the third straight year that she has competed in the 200-yard freestyle at the NCAA Championship for the Lyons.
Wheaton finished the season with a 3-9 dual meet record and placed seventh at the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference Championship.
