NORTON, Mass. — Junior Olivia Macdonald (Toronto, Ont.) led the Wheaton College (Mass.) artistic swimming team against Boston University's club team today in the New England Synchronized Swimming Association Figures competition at Balfour Natatorium on the campus of Wheaton in Norton, Mass.

The Lyons swept all four figure categories for the day.

Macdonald tallied a top score of 73.1010 in the Figure A competition to place first. First year Eldar Blazh (Weston, Mass.) placed second with a score of 67.0459, while junior Renée Goldfinger (Hoboken, N.J.) racked up 66.3736 points to finish third.

First year Ava Salamone (Norristown, Pa.) made her collegiate debut, scoring 68.3138 points to win the B Figures.

Wheaton took the top two spots in the Figure C category. Sophomore Julie Mahoney (Andover, Mass.) led the way with 62.5345 points, followed by sophomore Sierra Bausemer (Plainville, Mass.), who tallied 59.6018 points to finish second for the Lyons.

Jacqueline Joyce placed third for Boston University with 58.4744 points. Junior Scout Lowrie (Franklin, N.J.) finished fourth with a score of 57.9119 for Wheaton and first year El Parks (Tacoma, Wash.) slotted in at fifth with 55.7324 points. BU took the final two spots. Audrey Lindsey and Sofia Luce scored 53.3974 and 52.9615 points, respectively. 

First year Gabrielle Bausemer (Plainville, Mass.) won the D Figures with a score of 55.7600, while classmate Autumn Vang (Stillwater, Minn.) also made her debut with a tally of 54.9578 points to place second for Wheaton. Natalie Lett scored 50.2856 points to place third and Shayna Kadish was fourth with 32.7111 points.

The Lyons return to the pool to compete when they head to Columbus, Ohio to compete in the Ohio State University Invitational.
