Women's Swimming Defeats Brandeis in Season Opener

THE RUNDOWN:

Wheaton opened the season with a 191-104 defeat of Brandeis.
The Lyons took first in the 200 yard medley relay, while Brandeis took the 400 yard freestyle relay.
Wheaton earned four of the top six spots in the 200 yard freestyle, the 100 yard backstroke and four of the top five spots in the 200 yard butterfly.
Maddy Morrison captured first place in both the 1 meter and three meter diving events. Jenna Hayden did the same in the 200 yard freestyle and the 100 yard butterfly.
Brandeis claimed some first place finishes as well, as Talia Bornstein claimed ownership of the 500 and 1000 yard freestyles.
Lydia Dacorte helped Wheaton gain some traction, earning first in both the 200 yard butterfly and 100 yard IM.
Others winning events for Wheaton include Eva Pet, Aleza Epstein, Maggie Lawler, Elizabeth Bernardy and Chloe Deubner.
