BOSTON, Mass. — First year Josy Wright (Sharon, Mass.) finished third in the 400 meters among Division I, II and III runners to lead the Wheaton College (Mass.) men's track & field team today at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center in Boston, Mass.
Wright's time of 48.22 ranks as the fourth-fastest in school history for the Lyons. Joining him in the race was sophomore Harrison Page (South Berwick, Maine), who placed 71st overall and 42nd among Division III runners with a time of 50.61, while classmate Aidan Greenleaf (Topsham, Maine) turned in a mark of 50.78 to place 47th among the Division III field and 78th overall.
First year Nolan Bushnell (Rochester, Mass.) posted a 1000-meter time of 1:58.35 that puts him eighth on Wheaton's all-time list. The effort placed him 44th among Division III competitors and 131st overall. Sophomore Gael Vera (Westminster, Mass.) clocked in at 22.38 to place 21st among Division III foes in the 200 meters and 47th overall. Senior Kai Hillier (Hinesburg, Vt.) led the Lyons' distance harriers with a time of 4:18.22 in the mile to finish 38th in his division and 246th overall.
Wheaton returns to compete tomorrow at the Crimson Open in Cambridge, Mass. and the Tufts Cupid Challenge in Medford, Mass.
