Springfield won all three doubles matches to gain the first point of the dual match, before sweeping through singles action as well.

Wheaton's junior duo of Kara Greenlee (San Antonio, Texas) and Alissa Ortiz (El Paso, Texas) battled at number one doubles, but eventually succumbed to senior Ramida Manataweewat (Thailand, Bangkok) and sophomore Kapom Vettayawaikoon (Phuket, Thailand), 7-5. Sophomores Laila Haraj-Sai (Madison, Conn.) and Asia Hollis (Hamilton, Bermuda) fell at number two doubles for the Lyons to Springfield graduate student Gabby Heaney-Secord (Westwood, Mass.) and junior Alysa Elliott (Gros-Islet, Saint Lucia), 6-3. The Pride posted another 6-3 decision at number three doubles. Junior Kelly McGoldrick (Monore, N.Y.) combined with sophomore Natalia Peyon (Hong Kong) to defeat Wheaton sophomore Taylor Wilson (Dover, N.H.) and first year Maya Brennan (Valatie, N.Y.)

Brennan took McGoldrick to the limit at number five singles. McGoldrick won the opening frame, 6-4, before Brennan returned the favor with a 6-4 result in the middle set. Springfield got the win with McGoldrick outlasting Brennan, 10-8, in the super tie-breaker.
