MARLBOROUGH, Mass. — A school-record total of 11 Wheaton College (Mass.) men's soccer players were named to the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference squad, including Thomas Corridon (Westport, Conn.), Charlie Cushing (Eastham, Mass.), Camajé Easton-Smith (Hamilton, Bermuda), Austin Hoadley (South Kent, Conn.), Ben Kane (Pembroke, Mass.), Baden McLaughlin (Yarmouth, Maine), Jack Morlock (Brookfield, Conn.), Kevin Morse (Acton, Mass.), Ty Nolon (Norwich, Vt.), Michael O'Gara (Ardmore, Pa.) and Conor Yurgel (Jackson, N.J.) it was announced today by the league.
Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2025 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
The Lyons shattered the previous high of seven, which was achieved in each of the past two years.
Morse and O'Gara are both three-time honorees, while Corridon, McLaughlin, Nolon and Yurgel are repeat choices. Cushing, Easton-Smith, Hoadley, Kane and Morlock are first-time selections.
Morse is a senior Criminal Justice, Restorative Justice and Criminology major. The defender started 19 of 23 matches in the back field, while netting a goal and adding a pair of assists. O'Gara is a senior Economics and Finance double major and was named First Team All-Region and All-Conference for Wheaton. The goalie led the NEWMAC with a 0.64 goals against average and ranked 21st in the nation, while standing 36th among NCAA III keepers with a .821 save percentage.
Corridon is a junior Biology major. The midfielder saw time in all 23 contests for the Lyons, while making a start and netting his first collegiate goal. McLaughlin is a senior midfielder. The Business major ranked fourth on the team with five goals and 12 points and earned NEWMAC Offensive Athlete of the Week honors during the season. Nolon is a junior Political Science major for Wheaton. The keeper saw time in a pair of matches and did not allow a goal in 19:27 of action. Yurgel is a junior Finance & Economics major. The forward played in five matches for the Lyons and registered a shot.
Easton-Smith is a junior Business Management major. The midfielder and Tri-Captain finished with an assist to go with his first collegiate goal, which gave Wheaton a 1-0 win over Babson College. Kane is a junior Design major and also a Tri-Captain. The midfielder was named Second Team All-Conference and notched an assist, while starting all 23 matches.
Cushing, Hoadley and Morlock all earn a spot on the team in their first respective years of eligibility. Cushing is a sophomore and ranked sixth in the NEWMAC with four assists. The midfielder saw time in 18 contests. Hoadley is a sophomore Business Management major. The back earned Second Team All-Conference accolades and tallied six points, including a pair of goals in 23 starts. Morlock is a sophomore Biology major. The midfielder started nine of 21 matches and collected three assists.
Wheaton finished the season with one of the greatest runs in school annals. The Lyons posted a 17-2-4 record to go with a No. 8 national ranking in the most recent United Soccer Coaches national poll. Wheaton's season came to an end in the NCAA Division III Quarterfinals with a 2-0 loss at No. 4 St. Olaf College, following three victories in the NCAA Tournament. The Lyons claimed the NEWMAC Regular Season crown with a 7-0-1 record and finished the regular season with an unbeaten mark for the first time in school history. Wheaton earned its 10th NCAA Tournament berth and hosted the first and second rounds in Norton. In addition, the Lyons were led by the NEWMAC Men's Soccer Coaching Staff of the Year.
