Rapsomanikis Named to Delfina All-MPSF East Men's Water Polo Honorable Mention Team

NORTON. Mass. — Wheaton College (Mass.) men's water polo player Spyros Rapsomanikis (Kerkyra, Greece) was named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Men's Water Polo Delfina All-MPSF East Honorable Mention Team, it was announced by the league.

The sophomore earns All-MPSF honors for the second straight year after being named to the First Team in 2024.

The utility player leads the Lyons with 40 goals and 19 assists for 59 points and ranks 11th in the MPSF with 27 steals. Rapsomanikis also stands seventh overall in the league with a 91.15 performance indicator, while placing fourth among Division III players. The Greek native has seen action in all 18 contests for Wheaton and has also picked up six field blocks. Rapsomanikis has netted at least one goal in all but three contests and has registered multiple markers on 10 occasions, including a school-record seven goals on October 4 against California Institute of Technology to supplant his own former standard of six. The second-year standout matched his season-high point total with five goals and two assists at Connecticut College on November 15. Rapsomanikis opened the season with a season-high count of five steals to go with two goals and four assists vs. Salem University on September 13. He put together five straight games with three or more goals from October 18 to November 8, racking up 16 goals, three assists and 10 steals during the stretch. 

For his career, Rapsomanikis is the Lyons' career leader in goals (88), assists (41), points (129) and steals (107) in 37 games. 

Wheaton is the 10th seed in the upcoming MPSF Championship Tournament and returns to action on Friday, November 21 when it takes on seventh-seeded Austin College at the Avery Aquatic Center on the campus of host Stanford University in the opening round of the MPSF Championship Tournament at 12:30 p.m. ET in Stanford, Calif.
