Sinclair Named Assistant Director of Athletics Communication

NORTON, Mass - The Wheaton College (Mass.) Athletics Department has named Jack Sinclair the Assistant Director of Athletics Communication, it was announced by Interim Director of Athletics Lisa Yenush.

Sinclair joins the Wheaton Lyons staff after spending over a year in Medford, Mass. as Sports Information Intern at Tufts University. Prior to working with the Jumbos, Sinclair served as a Sports Information Assistant at Northeastern University where he graduated with a degree in journalism.

While at Tufts, Sinclair oversaw social media content production and gameday operations, including live stats and public address announcements. He brings a wealth of fresh ideas to the table as Wheaton looks to grow its athletic footprint in the region.

"We are very excited to bring Jack to Norton and help enhance our efforts in Athletics Communications at Wheaton," said Director of Athletics Communication, Alan Wickström. "With the Lyons' now sponsoring 26 athletics programs, we felt that we needed to bolster our efforts to promote our current athletics programs, while also embracing the school's rich history of athletics success. Jack's experience will help us ascend to the next level and we are thrilled to have him on board!"

"I am beyond thrilled to be a part of this fantastic community," said Sinclair. "Wheaton has a strong history of athletic and academic excellence, so it was a natural fit for me. I want to thank both Lisa and Alan for this opportunity, and I cannot wait to begin to elevate the platform of Wheaton's athletes even higher."

As an undergraduate student at Northeastern, Sinclair embroiled himself in the world of athletic communications, quickly falling in love with the rigor and variety that college athletics provides. Through four and a half years with the Huskies, Sinclair managed the in-game live stats for Northeastern volleyball, soccer, hockey, field hockey, basketball and baseball. In addition, he served as a radio play-by-play broadcaster on 104.9 FM WRBB, including the 2021 Northeastern Women's Hockey Frozen Four appearance in Erie, Pennsylvania.

At Tufts, Sinclair was primary contact for both soccer teams, the indoor and outdoor track and field teams and the baseball team. He served as a liaison between the teams and the plethora of Boston-area and student media personalities, while providing live scoring updates on social media and producing video and graphic content for social feeds.
