Joining them were senior defender Maggie Ryan (Freeport, Maine), senior Erin Ortega (Oakland, Maine) and senior goalies Emily Kelly (Norwell, Mass.) and Emily Oundjian (Longmeadow, Mass.). Sophomore attacker Sophie Gromala (Killingworth, Conn.) equaled her career best with four assists and added two goals to match Harvey for the game-high in points in addition to a ground ball. Sophomore Lara Finnie (Westfield, Mass.) also contributed to the offense with a trio of goals and added a draw control, ground ball and caused turnover. Ryan picked up a pair of ground balls and netted her first collegiate goal. Kelly stopped one of two shots in the first quarter, before Oundjian, who started her first career match on attack, made the switch back to her familiar goalie spot and turned away the only shot she faced in the second quarter. First year goalie Katie Geis (Duxbury, Mass.) denied seven of eight shots on net in the final 30 minutes of action for the home team.

First year midfielder Emi Bisson (Chester, Conn.) and first year attacker Elle Mader (Cincinnati, Ohio) each netted a goal for MHC. Bisson also won four draws to go with a ground ball and Mader picked up a ground ball. Junior defender Isabel Cordes (Yorktown, Va.) assisted on both goals. First year attacker Taylor Dunn (San Francisco, Calif.) collected a game-high three ground balls. Sophomore goalie Emma Tower (Dover, N.H.) posted eight saves for the visitors.

Wheaton scored the next 20 goals of the match to record the decisive win. The Lyons scored 11 unanswered markers in the first quarter, including three from Harvey and two from Kilburn. Kilburn's milestone score at the 3:23 mark of the period came on a feed from first year attacker Natalie Bilodeau (Scarborough, Maine) and gave Wheaton an 8-1 advantage. Junior attacker Abigail Mountain (Niantic, Conn.) scored the final goal of the period with 36 seconds left on an assist from Harvey to give the Lyons an 11-1 cushion.

Wheaton tallied all seven goals in the second quarter to take an 18-1 lead into the intermission. Finnie scored twice in the quarter for the Lyons, while Ryan's first career marker came on an unassisted shot with 3:49 to play in the second period to give Wheaton a 17-1 advantage. Junior attacker Logan Truluck (Bath, Maine) scored the last goal before the end of the first half to give the Lyons 18 for a season-high in a half.

Wheaton netted the only two goals of the third quarter, courtesy of Mountain and Gromala, to increase its lead to 20-1 after three periods of play.

MHC completed the bookends of the day's scoring with the game's final goal to go with its first marker. Cordes assisted Mader with 4:35 remaining in the contest.

The Lyons return to action on Wednesday, April 19 when they host NEWMAC rival Massachusetts Institute of Technology at 7:00 p.m., while Mount Holyoke heads to New London, Conn. to take on league foe United States Coast Guard Academy on the same day and at the same time.
