Carlisle Nets 19 Points Against Emerson

NORTON, Mass.- The Wheaton College men's basketball team fell to Emerson 102-76.

Wheaton was led first-year Alex Carlisle who finished with 19 points and 5 assists. Fellow classmate Evan Cook was a big contributor as he finished with a solid stat line of 16 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Sam Manganello was a spark off the bench with 8 points.

Emerson's big man Jarred Houston finished with a double-double including a game-high 23 points and 11 rebounds.

The Lyons Cook hit a three to cut Emerson's lead to two with 16:35 left in the first half. Emerson went on a big run the remainder of the half taking a 45-27 lead going into the break. Wheaton had some strong play from the bench as they scored 24 points. Wheaton's defensive effort was not enough as Emerson shot 52.9% from the floor, leading them to victory.
