After being swept in doubles, the Lyons best chances at points came in No. 1 and No. 2 singles.
Ines de Bracamonte won her opening set against Justine Huang, earning a quick 6-1 victory. The pair battled throughout the second and third sets with Huang coming out successful with back-to-back 6-4 wins.
Isabelle Garvanne battled in the No. 2 position, falling 7-5 in the opening set before battling her way to a 7-6 (7-3) win in the second set. The pair fought through the third set with Selina Peng coming out on top with another 7-5 victory.
