Wheaton got the scoring going with back-to-back goals less than a minute a part.
Senior captain Katie Clay-McBee netted her first goal of the season in the ninth minute with a curling ball from the right side of the field that found its way into the top left corner.
Kira Olander put the Lyons ahead 2-0 in the 10th minute for her first career goal. The junior headed the ball past the UNE keeper on a corner kick from Aymara O'Brien-Pappalardo.
The Nor'easters pulled within a single goal in the 13th minute after Jessie Maywalt put one past the Wheaton keeper on a free kick at the top of the box.
O'Brien-Pappalardo picked up her second assist of the day with a quick pass back to Kaylee Sye, who beat the keeper to her right.
Hannah Lepordo netted her second goal of the season in the 53rd minute with an assist from Noelle Perciballi. The first-year beat a couple of defenders to the top of the box.
Leann Wolf collected the win for the Lyons after playing the first 45 minutes of action. Alexa Barbagallo played the entire second half, coming up with a save.
Emily Ashman and Jenna Pannone split time in goal for UNE with Pannone suffering the loss.
