Though both teams were scoreless in the opening stanza, Wheaton led the Bears in shots, 5-2, after 45 minutes of play.
Aymara O'Brien-Pappalardo lifted the Lyons, 1-0 in the 76th minute after converting a feed from Megan Healy.
Coast Guard was able to fire off three consecutive shots three minutes later, but ended up still scoreless at the end of 90 minutes.
