THE RUNDOWN:  

• Emerson took an early 1-0 lead in the 33rd minute with a goal by Alex Levin. The goal came after an initial Lion shot bounced off the hands of Alexa Barbagallo and onto the foot of Levin, who rolled the ball into the right corner.
• Wheaton answered at the 34th minute after the ball found the feet of Sam Ortiz. Aymara O'Brien-Pappalardo was credited with the assist. 
• Three minutes after Wheaton tallied the equalizer, Lily Scammon netted what would prove to be the game-winner with an assist from first-year Hannah Lepordo. 
• Barbagallo started the first 45 minutes in net for the Lyons and allowed one goal and turned away three shots, while Leann Wolf was two for two in saves in the final 45 minutes.
