WELLESLEY, Mass. - The Wheaton College women's tennis team fell, 7-2, against the Wellesley College Blue in a conference match on Tuesday evening.
The Blue swept Wheaton in doubles with 8-5, 8-2 and 8-5 marks against the Lyons.
Sophomore Ines de Bracamonte secured the first victory for the Lyons in her hard fought singles match in the No. 1 spot when she posted a 2-6, 7-6 (7-4), 10-4 final. Sophomore Connor O'Keefe went on to record Wheaton's final point of the match when she registered a 2-6, 6-4, 10-8 final.
The Lyons travel to MIT on Saturday to continue New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) competition with action beginning at 11 a.m.
