2014 [FIRST-YEAR] - Played in 90 sets (27 matches)... led the Lyons with 337 digs and also paced the squad in digs per set at 3.74... registered 23 service aces and dished out 47 assists... recorded 20 or more digs in six matches with a career-high 24 digs in back-to-back matches against Coast Guard (Oct. 14) and Bridgewater State (Oct. 18)... tallied two or more service aces in six matches with a season-high three versus Bowdoin on October 24. BEFORE WHEATON: Attended Barnstable High School... four-year member and one-year captain of the volleyball and basketball teams... earned varsity letters during her time on both teams... named an Old Colony League (OCL) all-star for basketball and volleyball all four years of high school... named a Boston Globe and Boston Herald Scholastic Athlete her senior year... named the Boston Globe Division I player of the year in 2014... the Barnstable Red Raiders volleyball team completed undefeated seasons her freshman and senior years and were named state champions all four years of high school... member of the National Honor Society... played club volleyball for Cape Cod.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Marylou and Steve Martin... has one sibling, Maribeth who played on the volleyball team at Framingham State University ('14)... majoring in biochemistry... aspires to work in orthopedics... chose to attend Wheaton for its great academics.
