Picked up his first victory of the season, while striking out a career-high seven batters in the 6-2 victory over Framingham State on March 8 ... 2024 SEASON: Appeared in 10 games on the mound, while making nine starts ... Made his collegiate debut on March 11 with a three-inning start vs. Spalding University (Ky.) ... Earned his first collegiate win on March 19 at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, giving up two runs on eight hits and no walks to go with a career-high four strikeouts in six innings ... Ranked second on the team with 56 2/3 innings pitched to rank 11th among New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference leaders ... Posted a 4.92 earned run average and struck out 24, while issuing just 13 walks ... Owned a 4-3 win-loss record ... Hurled a complete-game victory at No. 4 Salve Regina University in the NEWMAC Tournament, allowing just two runs on nine hits and two walks in addition to fanning a batter in nine innings on May 9 ... Surrendered just one unearned run on six hits and no walks to go with three strikeouts in eight and a third innings of work vs. Worcester Polytechnic Institute on April 2.

BEFORE WHEATON: Graduated from Bishop Stang High School in 2023 ... Three-year letterwinner in baseball in addition to earning two letters in football for the Spartans ... Named an All-Star by both the Boston Globe and Boston Herald as a senior and earned a spot on the South Coast Varsity Super Team following both his junior and senior campaigns for BSHS baseball ... Tabbed a Catholic Central League All-Star for Bishop Stang High School baseball as a junior and senior ... Helped the Spartans capture the Catholic Central League Baseball Championship as a senior, while helping the team advance to the State Tournament Semifinals ... Member of BSHS baseball's appearance in the State Tournament Quarterfinals as a junior ... Earned Honor Roll accolades all four years at Bishop Stang High School ... Played for the Mass Hurricanes baseball team.
