MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – Wheaton College (Mass.) women's swimmer Anna St. Jean (Alexandria, Va.) was named the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week for the week of October 19-25, it was announced today by the NEWMAC.

St. Jean was also honored this week as part of Wheaton's 200-yard freestyle relay that was named the Relay of the Week in addition to Ella Kent (Framingham, Mass.), who was tabbed the Diver of the Week to give the Lyons their first sweep of the weekly awards since November 14, 2022 when the women's 200-yard medley relay was tabbed as the Relay of the Week in addition to Morgen Coughlin-Doyle '25 being chosen the Diver of the Week.

St. Jean was outstanding in Wheaton's opening season meet, winning both of her sprint events with personal-record times. The senior won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.93 seconds to claim victory by three tenths of a second and touched the wall first by nearly eight tenths of a second in the 100-yard freestyle with a mark of 54.51.

For her career, the graduate of Alexandria City High School has racked up 21 top-five finishes, including four victories. The Public Health major has primarily performed in freestyle events in addition to butterfly. She has finished either first or second 12 times. 

The Lyons return to the pool on Friday, October 30 when they travel to Wellesley, Mass. to take on Wellesley College at 5:00 p.m.
