Ritting Named CWPA All-Conference Honorable Mention

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – Wheaton College (Mass.) women's water polo player Ryanna Ritting (Perkasie, Pa.) was named to the Collegiate Water Polo Association All-Conference Honorable Mention Team, it was announced by the league.

The first year established herself as an All-Conference performer for Wheaton after leading the Lyons with a school-record 36 points and 24 goals in 13 games, while adding 13 assists to stand second on the squad. The center proved to be a valuable performer on both sides of the ball for Wheaton, leading the squad with an all-time program best 44 steals and 14 field blocks in addition to a team-high nine drawn exclusions. A graduate of Pennridge High School, Ritting started every match for the Lyons and was one of the most consistent scorers on the team with at least one goal in all but three contests, including multiple goals on seven occasions. The rookie also came up with two or more steals in every match, including a high of five in four different games. Ritting enjoyed a prolific scoring stretch where she netted 13 goals over a four-game span from March 9-28. The Keystone State native racked up a school-record total of eight points, including a new program standard for assists with five vs. Grove City College on March 9.

Wheaton completed just its second season of varsity play after its inaugural campaign in 2024. The Lyons posted a 0-13 record and competed in the CWPA Championship Tournament for the second straight year.
