ERIE, Pa. — The Wheaton College (Mass.) women's water polo team fell to Connecticut College, 15-2, this evening at the PSB Invitational hosted by Pennsylvania State University Behrend at the Junker Center in Erie, Pa.

The Lyons fall to 0-2 on the season, while the Camels improve to 1-2.

Senior center Izabella Agraz (Moraga, Calif.) and sophomore attacker Sophia Romo (Jupiter, Fla.) each scored for Wheaton.

First year 2-meter Sarah Nagel (Honolulu, Hawaii) led Connecticut College with a game-high five goals, while junior 2-meter Ainsley Cornwall (San Mateo, Calif.) netted four goals.

Cornwall found the back of the net twice in the opening minute to give the Camels a 2-0 lead, before Agraz put the Lyons on the board at the 6:41 mark of the opening quarter to cut the deficit in half at 2-1.

Connecticut College scored the final five goals of the quarter, including two from Cornwall to take a 7-1 lead. The Camels extended their run to nine straight markers with all four of the second quarter's goals, led by three markers from Nagel, to give Connecticut College an 11-1 cushion at the intermission.

Wheaton opened the second half with a goal from Romo just eight ticks into the third quarter to pull within 11-2.

The Camels scored the final two goals of the third quarter with scores from first year driver Catrina Dumas (San Francisco, Calif.) and Nagel to bump Conn. College's advantage to 13-2. The Camels tallied the only two markers of the fourth quarter behind sophomore Maddie Baybeck (Ann Arbor, Mich.) and junior driver Emma Luna (Wahiawa, Hawaii), who each found the back of the net.

The Lyons return to the pool tomorrow to take on host Penn. State Behrend at 9:00 a.m. in the Junker Center, while the Camels play Washington & Jefferson College at 10:20 a.m.
