The Lyons improve to 4-5 on the season, while the Colonels fall to 4-4.

The Lyons faced a 34-32 halftime deficit only to see the Colonels begin the third quarter with five straight points capped by a pair of Dunn free throws to give the home team a 39-32 lead with 56 seconds gone in the quarter. The five points were a continuation of Curry scoring the final four points of the opening half to give it nine unanswered points.

Wheaton regrouped and answered with an emphatic 11-0 run, fueled by four points each from Arnold and Kiernan to give the Lyons the lead for good at 43-39 with 5:46 to go in the period. Wheaton maintained its advantage for the remainder of the quarter and took a 55-50 cushion into the fourth quarter following a Fernandes jumper with four ticks left on the clock.

The Lyons maintained a 72-61 advantage after a Fernandes layup with 2:22 remaining in the game. The Colonels scored the next four points with a layup from sophomore forward Olivia Gourdine (Barnstable, Mass.) cutting the deficit to 71-65 with 54 ticks left in the game, but it was as close as Curry would get.
