THE RUNDOWN:
- The Wheaton College volleyball team opened day two of the North Country Invitational with a 3-0 loss to host Clarkson.
- Wheaton got four kills each from Bailey Madrzyk, Julia Palomba, and Becca Houghton. Houghton led the team with 11 assists.
- Sophie Wilhelm led Wheaton with 14 digs, while Ariana Rajaee finished the contest with 12.
- The first set started strong for Wheaton who ran out to a 7-3 lead. Clarkson battled from behind to tie the contest at 13-13, which then caused the two sides to trade possession of the lead several times. Clarkson took the lead for good at 18-17, rolling to a 25-19 victory.
- Wheaton fell behind early in the second set but fought back to a 7-7 deadlock with help from a couple of Clarkson errors and Hamilton aces. Clarkson took the lead back for good moments later on a Wheaton error.
- The third set was all Clarkson with the Lyons only managing 10 points.

GAME TWO: Wheaton 3 - D'Youville 2 (19-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-14, 15-8)

THE RUNDOWN:
- Wheaton ended the tournament with another five-set thriller, this time against D'Youville. Like their other five-set match this tournament, the Lyons came out with the 3-2 victory.
- For her work on the court, Houghton was named to the all-tournament team following the match.
- Houghton ended the contest with five aces, seven kills, and two blocks.
- Hamilton led Wheaton with 12 kills, with Madrzyk finishing with nine, while Haley McCreight, Houghton, and Kyra Mattera all had seven.
- Wheaton fell behind early in the first set but battled back to tie the match at 9-9 on a Hannah George ace. D'Youville took the lead back for good moments later on a four-point run, going on to take the set 25-19.
- The Lyons found themselves trailing once again in the second set, but undeterred, Wheaton slowly chipped away at the deficit, capturing the lead at 12-11 on a Mattera kill. Wheaton held onto the lead, tying the match at 1-1 with a 25-19 set victory.
- Errors put Wheaton in an early hole, but the Lyons found a way to minimize their mistakes, coming from behind to take their first lead at 18-17 on a Madrzyk ace. The lead didn't stick however with the Spartans closing out the set with three straight points.
- The offense started clicking in the fourth set Wheaton opening on a 7-2 run behind kills from Hamilton, Madrzyk, and Houghton. Wheaton continued to push and keep D'Youville at a distance, cruising to a 25-14 victory.
- D'Youville opened the deciding set on a 5-1 run, which was countered moments later by an 11-1 run by Wheaton. The Lyons only allowed the Spartans two more points, taking the set and match.
