THE RUNDOWN:  

• The Wheaton College softball team hit the road for a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) contest Tuesday afternoon against No. 5 MIT. The host team came out victorious, taking down the Lyons 8-0 after five innings. 
• Wheaton got a 1-for-2 performance from Shelbi Wilson and Clara DeCarvalho. Wilson also got the start in the circle for Wheaton, completing three innings, giving up five runs on two hits. Lani Sherman-Jackson wrapped up the game, pitching 1.2 innings, giving up three runs on four hits, while striking out two.

THE RUNDOWN:  

• MIT, who were ranked fifth in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) poll, picked up another win, this time defeating the Lyons 13-0 after five innings.
• Sarah Pritchard ended the game 2-for-2, while Lindsay Whittles ended the contest with the Lyons only other hit, finishing the contest 1-for-2.  
• Wilson started in the circle again this time pitching 2.1 innings, giving up three runs on three hits. Pritchard and Sherman-Jackson came in in relief.
