- Springfield jumped out to an early lead with a four run first inning, which they followed with a single run in the second and the fourth innings to take a 6-0 lead.
- Wheaton plated its only run of the contest in the fourth inning, which started with a single from Lily Ongkiko. First-year Clara DeCarvalho knocked in the Lyons run with a bases loaded RBI groundout that plated Shelbi Wilson.
- The Pride added two more runs in the sixth, before blowing the game wide open in the seventh with a huge eight run inning.
