Box Score 2 GAME ONE: Wheaton 9 - Rhode Island College 1 (6 innings)

THE RUNDOWN:
- Sophomore Jade Assad paced the Lyons, getting the complete game win in the circle for Wheaton, while finishing 3-for-3 from the plate with three RBI an dtwo runs scored, as well as walking once.
- Wheaton plated a run in the bottom of the first with Lily Ongkiko coming around on a double to center by Assad. Ongkiko led off the game with a single to center.
- Assad collected her other two RBIs in the third with a triple to left field that brought in Shelbi Wilson and Hannah Arkin. Arkin led off the inning with a single to center, while Wilson followed with a single to right.
- The Lyons added two more in the fifth with an RBI singles from Clara DeCarvalho and Chloe Woodward.
- The Anchormen added their lone run of the game in the top of the sixth with an RBI single to center from Chelsea Schott.
- With two outs and the bases loaded in the bottom half of the sixth, first-year Lindsay Whittles stepped up and cleared the bases with her first career grand slam.

- Shelbi Wilson picked up the complete game win for the Lyons, giving up just one run on three hits while striking out nine.
- Wheaton got things going early with an RBI single to center field Assad that brought in Ongkiko in the first inning.
- Three runs in the second put the Lyons ahead 4-0, with Ongkiko picking up an RBI of her own with a single to center to start the scoring. The second run of the inning came a wild pitch by the Anchormen, while the final run was scored on an RBI groundout from Arkin.
- Rhode Island College plated its lone run of the game in the top of the seventh with an RBI double to left.
